I received this product for free from Sealy in exchange for writing this review, though everything is my honest first impression and thoughts since! This was my first time using a Hybrid mattress after using a 12-inch memory foam mattress for a decade. The first thing I noticed about the Sealy Posturepedic Medina Hybrid II (Medium) is that, because it's a hybrid with springs, there's definitely more movement when getting in bed or tossing and turning. It took a minute to get used to. I would consider this mattress on the firmer side of medium—if you prefer a soft mattress you sink into, this wouldn't be the one for you. That said, the coils are responsive, and the layer of memory foam helps you find a comfortable position quickly every time. It doesn't require a box spring, which is a plus. One thing I was expecting was better breathability because of the coils, but I haven't noticed it sleeping any cooler compared to my old memory foam mattress. However, it's lightweight and easy to move, which was an unexpected surprise and makes sheet changes much easier. Overall, it's a trusted brand with a competitive price point, and the comfort and support make it a great choice. A huge plus is that Sealy offers a 90-day free trial, a 10-year warranty, and free shipping with white glove in-home setup! If you're looking for a firmer hybrid mattress that balances support and comfort, this one is worth considering.
